Attorney Lauren Crisera | Profile

Fort Worth Criminal Defense & Family Law

Fort Worth Lawyer Lauren Crisera | Criminal Defense Attorney

Lauren Crisera has dedicated her career to representing those accused of criminal offenses. Prior to moving to Texas Lauren was a Deputy State Public Defender for the State of Colorado. As a Public Defender Lauren gained extensive courtroom and trial experience. Discovering her passion for criminal law in law school Lauren focused her studies on criminal law and developing her trial advocacy skills. She gained experience representing clients facing criminal charges through her internship at the Clark County (Las Vegas) Public Defender’s Office and as a Student Attorney in the Criminal Law Clinic.

Lauren graduated Magna Cum Laude from Franklin Pierce Law Center (now University of New Hampshire School of Law). She was selected to compete in the National Trial Competition Team. Her team’s success at the National Trial Competition earned her the Howard James Nedved Commencement Award for her skills in trial advocacy. She was also selected as part of the inaugural class of Daniel Webster Scholars, a first in the nation program designed to make participants client ready upon graduation from law school.

Lauren was named as one of the 2013 Top Attorneys practicing less than five years in the area of Criminal Law by Fort Worth Magazine, her first year of practicing in Texas. She is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire, Colorado and Texas, with active licenses in both Colorado and Texas.

Philosophy

Lauren Crisera believes that every accused person should benefit from the protections afforded by the United States and Texas Constitutions. She has learned through her experience that Assault Family Violence and Aggravated Assault cases are areas of criminal defense where client’s Constitutional rights are often trodden, due to the emotionally charged circumstances surrounding these types of cases. Ms. Crisera takes a client centered approach to these cases understanding the personal and collateral consequences these cases can have for her clients. She ensures that her clients have a realistic understanding of all their options to resolve their cases allowing them to make an informed decision on resolution. She works hard to keep an assault conviction off her client’s records and is always ready to go to trial to fight for their innocence and rights.
